Trying to recover over here

Oh my gosh! Last week we got hit with a nice little Summer cold. It has hit us very hard. I mean, here I am, almost a week after this thing hit me and I still can't taste or smell anything and I haven't eaten much in the last week because of that. To top it off, we didn't even make it to Disney for Kyla's birthday on Friday (which I am totally bummed about and she will get a make up date ;) but our plans always seem to be interrupted). She did, however, get cake and open presents Friday morning after waking up. Keep in mind that neither of us felt well... I'm barely hanging on trying to take pics and didn't even get a decent pic of her by herself :(

The cake she wanted more than a present. I had planned on making her cupcakes, but on Thursday night when the cold hit me I decided that was not going to happen. :( So Daddy went to Publix and picked this pretty cake out. And Kyla took the pleasure of licking the icing off.

We took her to Claire's to pick out a purse and some cute jewelry. She chose this cute Hello Kitty purse.

Who's the funny guy who thought this was a good idea for a present?!? Oh, that's right..... It was ME!!! What was I thinking?!?

Her birthday definitely wasn't what we had in mind. We all slept most of the day trying to get over this awful cold. I ran a fever most of the day, as did Kyla. We were just miserable. Hopefully we'll make it to Disney very soon (keeping my fingers crossed)!!!
